XS Lawyer's founders saw a clear gap: ordinary Egyptians and small businesses had no fast, affordable way to understand a contract clause, check a regulation, or get a second opinion before signing. They needed a SaaS product — not a marketplace, not a directory — with an AI assistant trained on Egyptian civil, commercial, criminal, family, labor, and constitutional law.

Legal Help in Egypt is Slow, Expensive, and Hard to Access.
Three structural barriers were keeping ordinary users locked out of legal clarity — and a generic AI chatbot couldn't solve any of them on its own.
Off-the-shelf chatbots cite US/UK precedents and hallucinate confidently when asked about Egyptian Civil Code or Personal Status Law. Users were getting wrong answers wrapped in confident language.
Existing options were either expensive lawyer marketplaces or static document templates. There was no middle layer where users could ask, get a real answer, and pay only for what they used.
A working product needed plans, credits, document quotas, multi-cycle pricing, payments, CRM leads, multilingual content, and analytics — all of which had to ship together for launch.
A Domain-Trained Legal AI Wrapped in a Production SaaS.
We didn't ship a chatbot — we shipped a product. The AI runs against an Egyptian-law-curated knowledge base with citation enforcement, sitting inside a Laravel SaaS with subscription billing, document quotas, multilingual content, and a full admin operating system. Every layer talks to the next: a chat message decrements a credit, an upload counts against a document quota, a sale lands as a CRM lead.
NLP pipeline trained on Egyptian Constitution, Civil Code, Commercial Law, and case precedents — with citation enforcement to cut hallucinations.
Users upload contracts and PDFs; the system extracts clauses, flags risk language, and explains them in plain Arabic or English.
3 plans × 4 cycles, with credit and document quotas enforced at the chat layer — so usage and revenue are always in sync.

For the first time, someone in Cairo can drop a contract into a chat at midnight and walk away knowing what they're about to sign. That's the product we set out to build.
From Idea to Live Product, Step by Step.
An eight-phase build over sixteen weeks — starting from a blank page and ending at a live, paying SaaS — with brand, website, AI, admin and launch all owned by one team.
Took the founder's idea from a one-line concept to a real product brief: target users, pricing model, scope of legal coverage, success metrics and a phase plan locked before any pixels or code.
Designed the XS Lawyer identity from scratch — custom logo mark and lockups, color palette, typography, voice and bilingual EN/AR guidelines packaged for app, web and print.
Curated and cleaned Egyptian legal sources, defined the citation schema, and ran prompt evaluations against ~200 real legal questions to lock the answer pattern.
Designed and shipped xs-lawyer.com — landing, pricing, FAQ, legal pages, signup and the live chat surface — bilingual EN/AR with full RTL support.
Stood up the Laravel SaaS skeleton: auth, role-based access, multi-tenant chat, RTL/LTR i18n, and the credits + document quota model that everything else hangs off.
Built the streaming chat UI, file upload, PDF parsing, clause extraction, and the citation-checking layer that ties answers back to specific legal articles.
Shipped the admin: clients, users, CRM (companies/contacts/leads), plans & features, subscriptions, payments via Paymob/Apple, finance (accounts, income, expenses, transfers, reporting), translations and content management.
End-to-end encryption review, rate limiting, abuse detection, analytics dashboards, then a soft launch followed by the public xs-lawyer.com release.
